Social Media Story
I think the use of a social media platform enhanced the story I was trying to tell. At the time that this project was assigned, Halloween was right around the corner. I wanted my social media story to help college students stay safe when they decided to go out to a party. Social media platforms are aimed at getting a message out. Putting my story on social media enhanced the number of people who saw it as well as being able to reach the audience that my story needed to reach, which is college students. I really enjoyed creating a story that can help college students and potentially go out to the masses. I chose to do my story on college partying because I feel like college students don’t think about what they need to do before going out. Partying safely is an important thing, especially in college.
Stay Safe in College
I chose to use adobe spark because I am familiar with the website as well as the elements of design that it uses. I used adobe spark in one of my other classes, and it was a very straightforward program to use. I designed my social media story with a sleek and simple design because when a college student is looking at a poster that doesn’t catch their eye immediately, they’re not gonna read it. I didn’t run into a whole lot of issues because I liked that program, yet when trying to imagine a simple design, it took me a bit to think of a way to catch the eye of college students.
